Need a new tranny Probably been asked before, but here it is again.
I will be needing a new tranny shortly. What I would like is to get it built to handle the 400+ RW range BTW, it's a 4L60 in a truck. Can you guys give me a breakdown on which specific parts I will need to do this. I talked with TCI, but they didn't email me the build list like they said they would. I do want to put 5 planataries in and I understand that the OEM ones are the strongest. Is that true? What all will I need? Yes this is buget minded and I may have a builder, so just saying go here or buy this one, won't work for me. Because if I had $2500 or more to spend, I would be Mike's K's right now.

I have a list of parts, but just a heads up, with labor and everything, to do what your saying you want to do, you're easily looking at $2500 or more by the time you get done with everything. You might be able to squeeze it in under $2500, but you'll be cutting it close.
I think for my input drum and 5-pinion reaction and low/reverse planetaries, it was like $550, and that was getting them at near GM wholesale. Clutches, sprags, sun shell, sun gear, solenoids, etc., etc., add up real fast.
