Question Is it worth it to fix it?

After taking a turn real hard my SES light came on. After stopping at stop sign I tried to accelerate and the car would go nowhere. Giving it gas did nothing but bring the RPM's up. Me and a few friends got it to the side of the road where I checked the tranny fluid (which was fine) and then turned it off. After letting it cool down I was able to drive it and it made it to the nearest Autozone where I had them scan to see what the code says. I made it home fine but something is definitely wrong.

Thanks for any help and advice!!!

Does the car have an aftermarket converter in it?

Edit: I looked at your profile and I see you have a SS3600. This is the same converter I had back when I had my 60E and I too would get this code on occasion. It happens from time to time with an aftermarket converter. From what I have found there is no certain one thing that triggers it, its very random. The easiest way to take care of it is it to just turn off the code with a tuner like HPtuners or EFI Live. Thats what I did and never had an issue after that with it.

Here is a thread that talks about it.

It was very random. I've never taken a turn like that before so maybe that had something to do with it. I'm hoping that its just one of those things that happens and I don't have to spend big bucks on a new one.

Yeah I wouldn't be too concerned with it as long as the tranny fluid level is ok and doesn't smell burnt. The reason the car didn't want to move was because when it trips the code it puts it into limp mode and messes with the transmission.
