Default Question for 4l80e builder regarding max rpm
What is the highest you would safely spin a 4l80e. Computer controlled or manual. Motor will be roughly 800fwhp but at 8k-9k. Customer is wondering now makes me wonder. Overdrive FTW.

I haven't gotten any above the 8k rpm range that I'm aware of.
If I were building one for a 8K+ rpm application it would have an aluminum direct drum.

Speaking of 8000rpm 4L80 trans mods, anyone make a 4L80 sheild for these or do guys just use blankets?
