4L65E Bellhousing ?
4L65E Bellhousing ? What size is the Torx bit needed to remove the bolts that old the bellhousing on the main body of the trans? I tried my biggest today (T50), but it doesn't quite fit.

You're probably not going to find it locally. You might find a shop to remove them for you, then reinstall them. I did that once and was charged $5 for removal and $5 to reinstall.

The bit is called a T50 plus and is available from sonnax and snapon. However, you can use a modified T50. Purchase a quality T50 bit and grind about 1/32 inch off the end. Then you would have a much larger problem....

Whew! I ended up ordering it from the trans parts USA website. I called one Sonnax distributor in Ma for a price thinking it would be cheaper and they told me $44! I had her check twice as i didn't think that could be right. She said it was!
