4l60e interchangeable?
4l60e interchangeable? I have a good 4l60e in my truck and want to upgrade it to a 4l80e and my fire bird transmission has a cracked case. So will the 2001 silverado trans switch with a 2002 camaro trans. Thanks
Yes it can be done except you will need to swap a few things over in order for it to work. Tail housing, linkage shaft, second gear servo, and remove the pressed on steel sleeve seal on the output shaft. This info is providing the truck trans is a 2wd. If you have a 4x4 then the output shaft will have to be swapped as well and this would be a bot more involved. Vince
