flexplate question
I'm upgrading to a forged 383 and may possibly restall my vig 3200 to 3600; the car will be taken to the strip 2-3 times a year; is it worth it to upgrade my flexplate at this time? The car has the stock 99 flexplate; which is supposedly better than the 2001-02's....

I dunno, there are some nice choices out there. They can get pricey at $2-400 but they are nice pieces. I would chose one of the billet aluminum ones if I had my choice. I chose a CAT power though for about $70. Its sfi rated, and about twice as thick as the stocker, and slightly heavier. I haven't had any problems with it. I think the only complaints I have heard of is the starter has taken some teeth off the flexplate. But mine has been great so far.
