1999 vette auto trans question

Can you put a bellhousing and a tailshaft on a C5 4l60e trans might have to change output shaft and use like a regular trans???. any trans gurus???

You can install a standard bellhousing on a corvette 4L60e but you can't run a standard tail housing because the back of the case is designed different to bolt to the corvette differential.

In addition to Jeremy's info, the C5 case doesn't have the dipstick tube hole provided.

In addition to the info above, there is also an issue with lube in the back of the case to lube the extension housing bushing. If one were to make an abortion of an extension housing this would have to be taken into concern.
