you mean they dont make a manual valve body for the 4l60E? Wouldn't a manual body make the 4l60E a 700r4?

a 700 is a 4L60E without the computer control...all you have to do really is tune out the tranny controls form the PCM and workout a vacuum modulated shift setup. My friend did it in his Z but changed back because the fluctuations in vacuum from his cam were causing weird problem with the line pressure. he kept slipping the clutches and burning them up....i dont really see why you would do it?? a ratchet shifter built for a 700 will fit a 4L60E as far as i know. they DONT make one thats a direct bolt in for our cars though.

DeepBlueZ is right about all he said and you transgo makes a manual valve only and as far as I know they work really good and shifts solid.
