Do I need this hose?
Do I need this hose? on my 4l60e a line that appears to be a vacuum line broke off during my install. Do I need to keep the line or can I do without it? Its kind of a pain to reach it so im hoping ill be ok without it.

could it be the pressure bleed off tube, if so it goes on the very top of trans abour 1/2 way from front to back, it does not look just like mine, it looks close to the one on my 4l60 2000 model if so you do not HAVE to use it if pressure does build up it will coat the trans with oil, if yous is still in place it would be a vac line which plugs on to the very back of the intake
( there are 2 small vac lines and 1 large one - one goes to the trap door which operate AC/COOL, these you would need UNLESS you have did special mods I do not remenber just which they are )

Yea after some searching i found its the vent line. None of it connected to the motor and a lot of the trans sponors said i dont need it unless i live in a area with high moisture or somewhere that floods a lot. Ill probably try and get to the line to replace it but if its just a vent line i should be fine.
