Default Help with trans purchase PLZ

guys im stuck on deciding what tranny i wanna buy and who i wanna but it from

heres the deal

Performabuilt Trans Lvl 2 :
2 year warrenty trans/verter combo 3600 stall is $2400

or maybe like an FLT Lvl 3 is $1650+yank ss3600 $675+shipping

comes out to be almost the same price once you tie in the shipping costs for FLT trans and yank converter

but performabuilt on the other hand has the 2 year warrenty...

so idk can anyone chime in and help me. This car will be my DD and i drive it to work and thats it pretty much and its like 5 miles away from me

mods in the sig...

Are there any differences in the two trannys i a looking at?

how are performabuilts converters?

anything helps

I could never get my performabuilt to put the power down. I made 350rwhp with a 224r, and most of the bolt ons.. Added AFR 205s, (11.1:1), 224/228 cam, and the same bolt ons.. I made 345rwhp on the PB Level 2, and PB 4k stall. This was on the same dyno(dynapack) so no chance of tire slip, and the weather was cooler, with more of a cool down on the AFR runs.

I have the FLT Level 3, and SS3600 on its way now. The trans has a 6 month warranty i believe, but the Yank comes with a 3 year.

I'm not a converter expert by no means however I would have to guess that the converter was not efficient for your combo. I have seen in the past when a guy dyno tunes after a trans and converter install after previously having their car on a dyno, that they get less numbers. However when they went to the track the car picked up et. Sometimes I think that dyno numbers are just what they are. Numbers!

Go with the FLT it works great. Don't be so quick to jump on the "Yank bandwagon" give Circle D or FTI a call and see what's the best price you can get, they're all quality converters.

LOL All three companies make great products. I have tested them all. All the guys from each company know their stuff and I have had the pleasure of dealing with each of them. I honestly will say customer service from each has been very good if I ever had an issue and they were quick to get things sorted out. I honestly would not hesitate to run any of the three mentioned here in my own personal vehicle! You guys make the choice and I'm sure you will be happy with it. Vince
