Default help me pick a stall speed please

hey guys im looking for a stall converter for my 4l60e. Im looking at doing a 3200 stall. I do all street driving and will maybe see the track a couple of times a year. how will a stall that high affect my everyday driving? A friend of mine says ill hate driving around town with a stall that high. will it drive like normal? My setup is a 01 ls1 70mm single turbo with a speed inc tu1 cam and373 gears. This motor is in a 1970 c10 chevy truck. I know allready know with the turbo its gonna be hard to get any traction and I dont see a high stall helping any. Thanks as im new to this stall stuff

There are plenty of people that daily drive way bigger than that without problems. Hell, ive only had 4000 stalls in my car in the couple years ive owned it. I somehow gave in, and ordered a 3600 recently though.

It will drive just fine when driving normally, it may take just a little bit more perdal to get her going, but drop the hammer and all bets are off.

Not sure about your app but 3200 works great in my bolt-on 02 Z28 dd. I do have traction issues on most public road surfaces, even stabbing the pedal at 30 mph if it is blacktop. Concrete seems to be better. Sure someone with helpful info will chime in.

I'd say anywhere from 32-3600 since you have a turbo. 3200 would probably be best.

Call a sponsor you might like to see what they will recommend. Circle D can spec one to taylor your setup.
