Default safe to drive new trans to tune?

Just got my new built trans in the trans am and was wondering if its safe to drive it about 20mins to my tuner? Current tune has line pressures upped to make the stock trans shift firm so would this possibly hurt the new one? Any info is appreciated.

I'm wondering this as well. I have a trans tune done, and a built trans with an HD2 kit sitting and waiting to go in. Im gonna run it and see how it does. If it doesn't feel right I'll get the tune changed. If it feels ok I won't worry about it.

Ask your trans builder.

In my experience I think you will more than fine to drive it to have it tuned. I would take it easy on it and if you would feel more comfortable, contact the builder to confirm this. Vince
