Default 4L80E..Vortec vs ls ??????

Doing a conversion from 4l60e to 4l80e. i have a 2004 6.0 iron block lq4 in my car now.
I already know how to do the conversion......

Q IS: Will a 99 4L80e from a vortec 350 van work or are they different from the 4l80es from behind the 99 LS based motors.

converters the same????

im thinking i should be able to put the spacer and stock flywheel on my lq4(from the 2004 truck) and use the 4l80e from the vortec 350 van if its the same as the 2004 4l80e physicaly and electronicly (inernal)

could be a dumb question, i appoligize on my lack of truck knowledge. lol

Should bolt right up. I would remove the flexplate and spacer and hold it up to the converter to double check the veter holes line up. Easier to do while they are apart then under the car.

thanks for the help, but i guess my main concern is the valve body and electronics and such.

Im worried the computers from a 350 vortec powered van and say a 2001 chevy hd with a 6.0 would be different and have different control parameters , and basicly having different wiring in the trans.

i mean are the transmission direct swaps? if so im fine.

The wiring is the same in all 4L80E's at least from '92 to '05, that I know. The year range may be wider.

If you use a truck flywheel, you usually need the truck starter motor as well.

The electronics work the same, but the only ones that were ever different were the 91-93 4L80s, and the plug was entirely different. I'm not even sure if they make replacement internal harnesses for them, but the newer style harness will bolt into place of them.
