Default what size threads are on the case of a th-350?

searched online and they say its 1/4 pipe so i bought them and when i pulled out the old adapters there not pipe thread, its like a 1/4 straight with a seal. Is that right or are people just threading the 1/4 pipe into it till its tight?

The early ones are NPT, later are straight. If I come across a case with no fittings I try to put a straight fitting in it. If the case is NPT the straight fitting won't go in all the way so you know it's an NPT case.

If you pulled straight fittings out then straight fittings need to go back in.
