can anyone point me where to buy a 2000 trans am a/t transmission mount
my local autopart dont carry it and everysingle one i see online doesnt look like the one on the car

 

I had the same issue on my 01 no-one carried the mount for it had to get itfrom the dealer.

 

or just get a mount from an lt1 car and use it.

 

so the lt1 is the same? what the diffrence from the 98s?

 

22174970 That's what you want. Rockauto, Amazon, wherever. I've seen that part number mislabeled as a strut mount assembly. It's the right part.

 

That is pretty much par for the course for LS1 auto trans mounts. I went through the same thing and ended up putting in a Prothane mount that I got at the local Summit Racing store here. I wouldn't go that route though if you are concerned about increased NVH.

 

You may want to check this out. My buddie just installed one and its as quiet as stock. Really nice piece.
