4l60e scare Ok I have one question I'm currently having my motor cammed up and its almost fin. But my mechanic said my trannys gonna break cause its,stock. Is this true my car has 120 miles on it plus a big cooler and my tranny is in perfect condition with a 3600 ptc stall with a tourquer v3 cam.
yes and no it depends on how you drive it rememeber this same transmission gets torn up in stock form by 2.2 s-10s. the most lilley failure with added power on a stock unit is going to be a forward sprag or a broken sunshell.

That and the 3-4 clutch packs don't live long. As long as you don't dog on it constantly it should last a while. If you want to extend it you can always put the torque management on it. But who wants to do that lol.
