Just took my car down the road for some testing after changing over to some rear drag shocks did a couple of burn outs now the car want take off in drive...u can take off n first and manually shift to 2nd then 3rd then OD just fine w/no slipping ..you can shift back down the same way....no probs....but from a dead stop in D or OD it just like it is in N......goes to P & Rev. just fine...dont htink it is the linkage ....was just about to load and go 2 the track$#$#@@ please help

Sounds like you've rolled the sprag. Have you done many rolling 4th to 2nd gear rolling downshifts lately? That is a common killer of sprags. The trans will have to be torn down to repair this or a replacement purchased. Let me know if I can help.
