4L60E lockup/4th shift all at once?
4L60E lockup/4th shift all at once? I just purchased a 97 WS6 with a 4L60E. I am pretty sure that every time I accelerate normally from a dead stop it is shifting into 4th and locking up at the same time. The converter is definitely locking because when I do the light application on the brake pedal once its done all it's shifting, the rpm rises slightly and drops again as soon as I let off the pedal.
It's very annoying because it's a huge drop when it shifts from 3rd to 4th. It gives quite a lurch. I searched a bunch here, found lots of lockup threads but none that seem to address this. Any suggestions?
I'm new to Firebirds but I've owned a number of LT1 Impala SS/Roadmasters and never run into this before.
