usual failure under power?
That would depend on the build and who you ask and of course what type of trans your talking about and in what vehicle weight, rear ratio, converter, ect ect , Many variables there.

There are so many variables that have an impact on the lifespan of a 4l60e, it is hard to nail down a particular rwhp number.
I will say that my stock trans, with mods in sig, has held up just fine for me w/o any issues at all.
I am on my 29th bottle of nitrous, and I spray through the gears running mid 11's, with 1.65-1.70 60' times.
I change tranny fluid often, every 3-4000 miles, and have a
24,000 pound tranny cooler.
I have kept my tq mgmt and never do wot downshifts while spraying.
So far, so good.
That being said, I have just recently ordered a lvl 4 trans from flt and a ss3600 from yank as I know my number is up once I up my nitrous to a 125 shot.
