I am going to install a Circle D 278 mm 3000-3200 stall in my 02 SS Camaro. I plan on installing a SFI flexplate too. Does anybody have any experience with the Speed Inc house flexplate??. Is it a solid part or should i get another brand name?? They cost $120.00. OR== is the stock one good enough? I keep reading that they will crack etc etc.

IfYou have an 01-02 fp then you need a new one. Just did my install and there was cracks in the teeth above every tc bolt. Yank recomended a ls3 fp from gm. Its not sfi rated but it is good for plenty of power.
The speed inc is (or what I thought) the cat power ones that went out of buisness that sold for like 60-80 bucks on ebay. If they still have one I say go for it. If they still had them I would have taken one when I called them.

I was told by Speed inc last week that they don't have any of there brand fp in stock. I ended up getting a TCI fp. I was also going to keep my stocker. But after I looked up what a stock fp can do, I thought it would be best to just replace it. Cheap insurance I guess.lol
