shifts good1-2. but has no 3&4. this was a good used trans i put in. could the computer not be sending power to the lockup switch. the fluid looks and smells good. i have only been driving it for a week and the same thing happened to my last trans.

 

Im pretty sure that the lockup solenoid has power all the time its a ground signal that actually completes the circuit. When you installed the trans was the TCC not working along with 3rd and 4th gear? Sounds like you installed a trans that has a 3-4 clutch failure if I had to guess. Vince

 

Im not sure if the tcc was working when installed. the previous trans was an 84 700r4 and i didnt have it hooked up for lockup because it had a four prong plug. But this time i got one out of a 93. and connected all of the wires and everything. idk.
