Default Dumb lockup question???

this may be a stupid question but is it normal for my converter to remain unlocked until the car is warmed up completely? occasionally if i have to go somewhere and i dont warm the car up completely before leaving, i'll jump on the parkway and it doesnt lock up for a minute or two after i hit cruising speed.....

The tranny fluid has to reach a certain temp. before it locks up. On cold morning mine does it too. I noticed it a lot more after I installed a cooler and deep pan.

yep mine does it too. i usually pull the e-brake and let it sit in gear while it warms up so the tranny slips a little too.
