No 4th gear and lock up problem. tune?? or internal problem?
No 4th gear and lock up problem. tune?? or internal problem? hi guys i am having a wierd problem with my tranny and i cant figure out if it is my building skills or a problem with the tune.
i am running a cam/intake ls1 with a circle-d 4c and a 4l60e with a long list of goodies including sonnax billet 2 and 4 servos (they are adjusted properly i double checked today). the car is speed density tuned and runs great accept for the od problem. the tranny shifts great from 1-2 and from 2-3 but will not shift onto od. also the converter will not lock up with the shifter in the d/3 position but will lock up when the shifter is in the od/4 position but it is locked in 3rd and will not shift to 4.
today i put a scanner on it and it is showing shift comands for 2 and 3 but showed a "?" for the 4 command.
i called my tuner about this and he thinks it is something i have done or not done but is not ruling out a problem with the tune. i am stumped and have done about all i know to do short of pulling the unit and opening it up.
what do you guys think?
