4L60e no second gear 2000 Z28 engine and transmission, 4L60e, 2.73 rear gear:
Lot of miles, no transmission servicing lately, fluid looks good.
From a stop, not heavy acceleration: engine accelerates to 4000 RPM before shifting, and drops to 2000 RPM, so I think that it is third gear.
How bad it this?

Sounds like there is and issue with the 2-4 band possibly tangs broken off which is common with the stock band particulary if you have a shift kit or have upped the presure in tuning, Plus thats alot of miles.
