Circle-D 3800 help. Hello, I have a 2002 SS that I'm working on a little. It has 39K miles and the only things I've done are headers, and lunati cam .543/.544 230/237 on a 112. Stock 3.23 gears. 371rwhp/360rwtq. The car needs a stall. I have a friend wanting to sell me a brand new 3800 Circle-D stall. I'm wanting to keep this car as drivable as possible. Is the 3800 too high? How high will they stall under normal driving conditions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
man you will be fine and wont regret the performance of a 3800 stall and I hear Circle D has a great product! I DD a Yank 4K stall with a 238/244 cam everyday for 2 years now and until recently the stock tranny was holding up great!
i have a circle d 4c 3600 stall in my weekend car, and i think it would be to much stall for a daily driver. my gas milage around town has gone down significantly, with a 3800 it would only get worse. i would suggest 3000 to no more than a 3400 for a dd. can you dd a 3800? sure you can. can you dd a 5k stall? yes, but it's not realy practical. you will get alot of opinions on this but ultimately it's up to you and what you want/expect to get out of your car. everyone has their own personal preference.

Well it's actually my weekend car as well, I just don't want it stalling up extremely high under normal driving. My friend has a 4K FTI stall and he said it's very rare that the car goes above 2K rpms from a stop under normal, easy driving. Is that the case with circle d? From a stop under normal throttle, does the 3600 go pretty high in the rpms?

And let's say it locks at 45mph... At any throttle, it will always be locked above 45mph? People keep saying you lose HP when you install a stall, and I just don't see how...
