Which kit? Tranny rebuild...help My 3-4 shift bounces off the rev limiter 5x before shifting. Time for a rebuild - was thinking of a stage 2 kit. What is the best kit to get? I will also be upgrading my flexplate. Thanks guys!
This is what I used for a rebuild. Double cage sprag, transgo 4l60 release spring kit, alto red eagle master kit with 3-4 powerpack,alto carbon band, beast sunshell, wide sungear bushing, transgo unbreakable pump ring kit, transgo stage 2 shift kit. Do not forget to have your converter rebuilt or to get a new converter either. Once the transmission is on the bench it only takes less than an hour to get it all apart. Do an inspection and see what failed before you order parts. Master kits do not include bushings, molded pistons, pump vanes, and some other parts depending on the kit so its best to tear down before ordering.
