Default 4L80e/Transgo experts inside please

The Transgo shift kit for the 4L80e includes a bolt for the 4th gear clutch assembly that has a smaller orifice than the stock bolt. Anyone know why they are restricting this particular hole?

Use a stock bolt.

Thanks. I was going to ask you this question today when I called about the sprag and drum but you weren't there so I figured I would ask on here.

It restricts fluid. I installed the stock bolt per Jakes recommendation.

That's very good advice. I've never used the bolt Trans-Go provides. It's just a bad idea imho.

TransGo may have been trying to increase the strength of the bolt, by making it thicker, and as a byproduct making the orifice smaller.

My problem with it is that once I got a core in with a transgo bolt, that was broke off. After attempting to extract it I had to pay $150 to have it EDM'd out.

No reason to restrict it there. You control apply with the orifice in the plate.
