Default older 4l80e to ls1 bolt pattern

i'm putting an older style 4l80e(without the 12 o'clock bolt hole) into a '99 trans am. the two bolts on each side threaded in easily so we have 4 bolts total in it now. there's one more bolt hole on each side toward the top that wont thread at all. the passenger side looks to not even line up to a bolt hole and the drivers side hole looks a little off. is there only supposed to be 4 bolts holding this on with the older style trans? we're planning on getting a dust cover, so that'll add 2 bolts to the bottom but we're just curious about the two top bolts. thanks.

There is no corresponding hole in the block on the passenger side but the one on the driver's side should line up giving you a total of five bolts.
