Default is my transmission slipping?

so here is the problem,i was driving home a few nights ago,and i noticed my rpms were acting funny.i was just driving the speed limit and every time i let off the gas completely the rpms would immediately drop to 600.no matter how fast i was going it would do this.so lets say if i were going 40 mph,i'll let off the gas for 2 seconds, the rpms will fall to 600,then if i give it the gas again the engine will rev a second or 2 before the car speeds up.if i were to give it the gas from a complete stop the rpms would rise to 1500 even if im only goin 10 mph.another thing i noticed is when i floor it,the engine will rev a few thousand rpms before it switches gears.i do not hear any type of grinding or any other noises when driving or when switching gears.

the car is a 99z28,has 104k miles, magnaflow exhaust, slp lid, underdrive pulley, and aftermarket plug wires.i've had it for over a year now and put just over 4k miles on it.i've replaced the battery, alternator, and did an oil change.its been running fine til a few days.

so do u guys believe my trans is slipping,or going out?the trans fluid does need to be changed, its not red like its supposed to be and a its a lil low,can this be the problem?my bro recommended a trans flush,or should i drop the pan?any input is appreciated.thanks
