Default 200-4r question

My Grand National block is no good and I have decided to go with a t76 5.3 project and already have a built 200-4r with transbrake in the car with a decent converter and wanted to know if I could make my current trans and converter setup work with the 5.3 engine. Do I need a different flexplate? or would it just be better to get a different converter?

When bolting an LS1 motor to non LS1 transmission, you will need a different flexplate.

You should only need a crank spacer.

I have a 200-4R behind a 6.0 (same) with a Hughes SFI flexplate with there LS1 spacer. Works fine. The spacer holds the front of the converter in line with the crank, plus provides added support. Spacer is about $40.00 Hope this helps!

Thats what I needed to know this swap is becoming less intimidating by the minute. I really will only be limited speed wise because of funding.
