Default Questions bout torque converter

Ok so I'm planning on getting a converter I have a couple ??s bout them for one my car is a DD my car has 125k should I b ok wit the converter or should I wait for a rebuild two wht is the best stall I hear 3600 is good but I don't kno three do I need a shift kit wit a converter

No way to tell if the tranny will hold up with 125k. Some do, some don't. Definitly install a large tranny cooler and that will help the longetivity. There is no "best" stall speed. It is a matter of preference of how you want it to feel on the street. 3200-3600 are the most popular. And no you do not need a shift kit with the convertor.

has your trans been rebuilt yet?

trans go shift kits are nice. i have one with my built trans.

Read post #10. What are the goals for the car? Future modding? If your trans is going out, rebuild it and then add the converter/trans cooler (remember, adding a high stall converter brings more heat, so a transmission cooler is recommended).

Most prefer Yank, Circle D, & Vigilante.
