Default Just put my converter in. Is this normal?

It's a 3200 RPM 2.45 STR 9.5" Edge.

It has the expected extra peddling needed to pull out. But it acts like it sort of free revs before it shifts. When you get going it feels like it needs more and more gas up until shift point. Is that normal?

Also had the trans rebuilt at the same time with a stage 3 transgo. I can barely feel the shifts. I know the converter softens them, but how much. Is that normal?

Thanks a ton, I'm about ready to go out and stomp it.

I never experienced the "free rev" you're talking about, but sometimes mine does seem to hang right around the same RPM range before it shifts if I don't give it a little extra pedal. Also, my shifts did get slightly softer after TC, but I don't have a shift kit yet. this is with a 3800 2.5 str.
