Flushing a Torque Converter?

There were several companies that built converter flushers back in the day , and they worked very well. It was easy for some converters, as they already had a drain plug installed. As lockup converters were developed it became increasingly difficult and in most cases pointless to flush them, making the equipment some what obsolete.
My advise, if its a non lu converter and your sure the fluid is not contaminated with metal is to take it to someone that still has a flusher, and make sure their machine is properly maintained (clean solvent & filter) and let them run it on their machine for 20 min.
