This is the story..

at wot , it was hitting the rev-limiter . Changed the solenoids and it only shifted fine few times.

then , the car wont shift to 4th gear.

and now when I hit the gas , it vibrates. !!!

during normal driving it shifts fine in all gears from 1-2-3. but there is no 4th.




Note : when I opened the oil pan , there were no metal parts

 

should I ?

 

Are you sure its 4th you dont have ? Maybe its lockup you dont have? And a vibration could be an engine miss which would in turn disallow lockup.

How do I know the lockup thing ?

it wont shift to 4th wether in normal or at wot.

 

Do you have access to a scanner? You need to see what the computer is commanding...
