Default WOT good- let off, out of gear

Recently had my 4L60E rebuilt(upgraded). When I went WOT the other day, it shifted fine, but, after letting off, went to get back on gas, seemed to be free-wheeling(out of gear). Slowed down, then it was fine. What would cause this? Thanks for any info!

When it freewheels does it start pulling again once you reach a certain RPM or does it rev out all the way to the rev limiter?

It seems to go back to normal after braking a bit and once it's under around 2500rpm I would estimate. I just ran it at the track last night, and it performed beautifully. Only seems to do it when I go WOT, let off, and then step back on gas(normally) not WOT again. I also recently had a cam install done, (224R/114 LSA) small cam, but kept stock converter, if that helps narrow down reason for this issue. Thanks sir!

Kinda sounds like the sprag is going out in the converter? I had the same issue and switched to a yank.
