Default How much stall for drag radials?

I'm thinking of puting a 2800 stall in my stock b4c. I will also install a shift kit and cooler. My question is, how much can my m/t drag radials take? the car is very consitent right now, and i don't want to create traction problems. but a little more stall speed would help my lights out. Has anyone experimented yet?

2800 won't be enough, Go with the Yank SS 3600.

Never in a million years would I go that low on a stall. There was times I would blow the hoosier drs off the line with stock stall.
Go with a stall of 3600-4000 IMO. Most will tell you the same.

An 275 ET street radial has been down in the 8s I'm pretty sure. If your ET streets don't hook, its your suspension or a shitty track.

I ran a 3000 for a few years. This year reconfigured it to 3600, on the street I feel almost no difference. Now I wish I jumped right up to 4000. Guess what I'll be having done in the off season? That's right reconfigured to 4000. Go at least 3600, a good quality one with lockup will work fine on the street.

I've got a 3800, and 4000 will be the next step if not higher.

I agree 2800 is a little tight for what you are doing. 3600 would be my starting point.....
