Default Bad to shift from OD to D?

is it bad to shift from OD to D, whenever I go WOT? whenever i want to beat on the car or go WOT or just getting on the gas a little bit, i always down shift to D (3rd). is it bad if i do this alot? also is it bad if i shift it almost like a manual when im just screwing around?

As long as you do it before it shifts into 3rd. Such as from a stop. No it doesn't hurt it. i know on GM trucks it shifts firmer in 3rd, and applies more pressure to the tc also then locked in 3rd. Only time I ever use OD is when I'm on a highway. In town and up hills it's 3rd for me.
