i have a terrible clunking and banging when the engine is idling in gear and it gets worse when i cut the a/c on, ( rpms drop to about 500 with a/c on).
when i give it a little gas and idle at about 1k rpms it goes away. i spent the day putting the cooler lines back in the stock holders so it couldnt freely shake around. the line was about half an inch from the headers when i buttoned it up. i started the car and it sounds the same as before.
it may be something else but im pretty sure this is the problem because i still hear the sound immediately after i cut the engine off, like residual vibration causing it to bang.
i need ideas on how to make the sound quit, ive tried bending it by hand but it is quite hard in that area, i would put heater hose around the cooler line but its touching the header so that would probobly end badly...
