Default shift kit question

I must have missed it if it is posted, what year of 80(e) will work for a 2003 5.3? I am using a 0411 comp, with the red and blue connectors, will this run the trans, or do I need a aftermarket one, such as the GHM? How do I know what year the trans is when looking at it in a bone yard? IIRC, the one I had in my Impala SS, you could tell by the casting on the right rear of the trans. There are two port plugs and three verticle lines in the casting directly underneath the port plugs.

Default 4l80e swap

I'm trying to put a 4l80e in my 1976 k20 behind a 350 supercharged. I'm trying to figure out everything I need for this install.

A 4WD 80E which I'm sure you have, Trans controller and cross member mods
and re configuring of cooler lines and a carb mounted tps for the controller.

I have a compushift controller with their tps switch.
Way better looking then the TCI one.
