1st gear timed for the converter??

Default 1st gear timed for the converter??

guy im buying a camaro from said he put in a trans from a vette that had 30k on it. he said he bought a 800$ converter that goes with the trans. he also said 1st is a timed gear specifically for that converter. umm i dont know anything about transmissions. please try to explain this. its a 4l60 btw

Newer vettes have the transmission in the rear and use a different torque converter than our cars. Not sure how or even if it's possible. And the thing about first gear timing... Never heard of that crap...

Been doing this over 20 years and I've never heard of a "timed" 1st gear. You might want to ask a few more details about that.
