Default TH400 drive shaft yoke

I bought a brand new drive shaft for my '69 Camaro, and it's built to fit a TH400 or a Muncie M22 trans. However, I was looking at the splines in the yoke and noticed a large gap in one place between splines, like a key or a guide cutout. My tail shaft on the transmission has evenly spaced spline teeth all around. I can slide the yoke on the trans tail shaft but cannot seat it in all the way past the seal. Does anyone have any input on this?

There are several different yoke and output shaft combinations. Start by removing the tailhousing and looking at the output shaft. It is possible that you will have to either shorten your yoke or simply get one for your combination.

If you'll post a few pics of what you have then i can help you decide the best direction to go. As far as the splines... some were master splined but not all were. If it will slide onto the shaft you are good to go.
