L460E swap? or not?
im in the process of pulling my transmission out of my 1998 trans am.
ive read nothing but bad about the l460e so is there a recommended transmission i should swap it out with?
if so what are the advantages/disadvantages
and if i choose to do a swap will i be able to do it myself or will i have to take it to a shop.
i dont wanna go changing my drive shaft and all my supports so on so forth just for the swap.
im a teenager well almost 20 and still act like a kid half the time so im GOING to be playing in the car when and ill be at the track occasionally not just a cruising around car but not a full on hotrod either.
any helpful hints or tips on pulling it are also welcomed

What sort of power does your car make currently?
The biggest reason you've heard bad things about the 60e is not everybody is capable of building a nice transmission that will live in high powered environments long term. You would be better off by far if you just paid for a very well built 60e. If budget is an issue, stick with the 60e my friend.
