help with conversion vehicle please! I'm looking at the shifter from a 99 z28, and i'm attempting to install it into my 81 oldsmobile. The 4L60e is already installed. So my first question is what is the second cable for coming off of the shifter? The one that does not actually shift the transmission. It appears to only move when the button is depressed on top of the lever.
My other question is what is the plug for on the black canister in front of the shifter? NSS? Im guessing there is a plug that goes in to the front of the pins on the right of the lever for reverse lights? Is that part of the main harness?
Has anyone else done a conversion similar to this? Am I proceeding in the right direction? Is there a better or easier way to do this?
