I just installed a 3800 stall converter in a 2000 TA and my transmission is acting funny. I will be driving down the highway at 70 with my tach reading 2300 and my tach(motor) will jump to 3000. Is my trans slipping? Just started after i installed the tc.

 

I had the same problem right after a converter install and getting it tuned fixed it, the converter was unlocking.

 

Did you go to a trans shop or a local tuner?

 

You will definitely need to have a reputable Tuner look at it and adjust the lock up tables.. and have him adjust the shift tables as needed as well.
