i have a 98 ls1 formula firebird and today the tranny started acting up. its an automatic. it wont shift out of 1st until atleast 3000rpm and wont shift into 4th at all. also when i let off the gas it goes into nuetral. also after it happened i checked my tranny fluid and it wasnt on the stick. please help.

 

Well fill with fluid first but sounds like you lost the 2-4 band and only have 1st and 2rd

 

how much do you think that would be to fix and thanks for the help and actaully i was just looking at performabuilt tanny for it. what would it cost to have my tranny rebuilt for 500 to 600hp with a stall converter and shift kit?
