gains from a SSF 3500?
just curious what kind of gains from a car doing 8.6 in the 1/8th can be expected after just adding a tci ssf 3500. Im going to track tomorrow and am just a little curious .
More info please. What mods do you have prior to the SSF3500? What rear tires are you runnin? That is a hard hitting converter so traction will be a huge issue if your gonna try and run on street tires. But an average gain for a bolt-on car with that verter is .5 or .6 in the 1/4 mile. Not sure how that translates to the 1/8 mile gains but you'll definately want to run at least Drag Radials (heat them up real good first) so you make the most of your TC investment.
Good Luck

I gained a 0.6 in the quarter just after a few tries on MT ET's. Also have BMR LCA's and sway/T-Arm poly bushings.
On the street, forget it I light them up on anything below 50mph.

IMO a normal car with the power you make normally runs 2.0 60 ft's with a stock converter. With this converter and a sticky tire and no spinage you should pull at least a 1.7.
Do the math and you can cleary see at least a 3 tenth of a sec difference.
