4L60e issue I have a transmission I pulled out of a 1998 trans Am to install a built 4L60e.
The transmission has been sitting in my shop for about 6 months. A few weeks ago I installed it in a car that has a slipping transmission and the fluid was black. I know this trans was good so I figured I would use it.
The transmission wants to take off in 2nd gear if you leave it in drive. If you pull it in low gear it acts like a transbreak and keeps the car from rolling. If you give it gas the car will start to roll but sounds like something is binding up.
Anyone else had this issue? I replaced all the selnoids and still nothing. I hate to scrap the trans if it is something simple...
