transgo kit a must?

hey guys. i'm doing a cam and coverter swap next weekend, and was wondering if i need to put a transgo kit in while i have the tranny out. i've been told by some yes, others no. was trying to get some opinions from those who have more experience with autos than me. thanks.

I ordered both at the same time, while youre at it, get a good transmission cooler aswell.
