Turbo 400 swap. Shifter question?
I have done a turbo 400 swap on my 1998 z28 camaro.. Its always been an automatic car. I have a reverse manual valave body, and trans brake installed in the trans. My question is does anybody make a shifter that bolts directly in place of my stock one that keeps me from having to cut up my console?

I am not aware of anyone that makes a direct bolt in. I think you can use your stock shifter and use OD = 1st, D = 2nd , and 2nd = 3rd. First gear would not be used obviously. I converted to a TH350 and I installed a Hurst pistol grip quarter stick shifter. It is in no way a direct bolt in. You have to use a flat plate and make mounts to raise the shifter up. You will also have to trim the console some to use it. I do love the way it looks and its use. Well worth the headache of installing it.
