Lately I noticed my trans has been shifting funny or maybe slipping.It doesn't do this all the time but sometimes when I'm driving and punch the gas anywhere from 10-50 mph the rpms will rise to 4000-4500 and the car won't shift.It seems to just rev up and shake and not gain any speed.If I drive normal it seems to shift normal.I did check the trans fluid,I'm going to add new fluid soon but the fluid is also slightly low, would this cause the trans to slip even if the fluid is a tad bit low?

I bought the car in May of 2010,replaced alternator,battery,& oil change,drove it for a year without any problems, then one day in June of this year I started experiencing these shifting problems.If a rebuild is necessary I will get a rebuild,but before that is there anything else I can try that may fix the problem?Would you recommend a flush even though it has 104k miles?
